The goal is to help you maintain good oral health and prevent problems from becoming serious by identifying and treating them as soon as possible
What to Expect
1. A Full Dental Examination
A Dentist will perform a thorough examination of your teeth, gums and mouth, looking for signs of disease or other problems.
2. Scale and Clean
Using special instruments that scrape along and below the gum-line to remove any build-up of plaque and calculus. This helps to prevent gum disease, cavities and bad breath. The dentist or hygienist will polish and floss your teeth and instruct you on oral hygiene techniques and products to use at home.
3. X Rays
X rays help to diagnose what’s not always visible clinically, including decay between teeth, pathology of the jawbones, impacted teeth, abscesses, cysts and tumours.
If your teeth and gums are in good health, you won’t need to return for six months. If further treatment is required you should make an appointment before leaving the dental office.
